Earth Day Trash Scavenger Hunt
Gateway Park is a 17-acre site and home to the county’s largest White Oak. Its woodland and wetland are home to birds such as the indigo bunting and swamp sparrow.
Over the fall and winter trash has accumulated in this beautiful park, and it's time to clean it up!
So, what is a TRASH SCAVENGER HUNT? Each participant will be given a list of items to find, such as: "sock", "political sign", "golf ball", and more!
We also have prizes that people can win, including for the craziest piece of trash!
Things to bring: A trash picker upper (if you have one) or gloves! You may want to bring rubber boots if it's muddy. We will provide gloves and trash bags as well.
Can't stay the whole time? No problem, we'll take whatever help we can get!
Tell your friends, families, scout groups, community groups. Thank you!
