2018 Art of the Land Amateur Video Contest--New This Year!
The 2018 Art of the Land Amateur Video Contest Is Now Open!
Blend your creativity, love of open spaces and talent for creating engaging video by entering our Art of the Land Amateur Video Contest.
The Land Conservancy of McHenry County (TLC) is hosting this contest to showcase “the art of the land” or how “the land speaks”. A $100 cash prize is available to the creator of the winning video.
Our 2018 video contest is now open to amateur videographers!
The Land Conservancy of McHenry County (TLC) is hosting this contest for the first time this year to highlight the beauty of open spaces and to showcase one of the themes below:
“The Art of the Land” - A video that reflects or is inspired by the local landscape and all that it provides, or
“The Land Speaks” - A video that shows what or how the land communicates without it saying a word.
The contest is open to all amateur videographers or people who just love making videos! Amateur in this case is defined as earning less than a maximum of $2,000 annually from video work. Those under 17 years of age must have permission from a parent in writing. TLC board members, employees and members of their immediate households may submit video, but will not be eligible for the prize.
The contest opens on August 21, 2018 and ends on October 21, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. (The deadline has been extended!) The creator of the winning video will be notified October 29 and the video will be showcased at our 2018 Art of the Land event on November 10, 2018.
