Preserving the natural beauty of McHenry County since 1991!

Community Oak Planting

alt

To raise awareness of the need to plant more oaks and take better care of the ones we have, TLC has been working with municipalities, schools, churches, students and volunteers to promote the next generation of oaks.

To date, over 800 oak trees have been planted at sites around the county. The trees are raised by Glacier Oaks Nursery in Harvard and are 2-3 years old when planted.

Get Involved with TLC

There are a variety of ways to help TLC preserve the natural, scenic and agricultural lands that make McHenry County so attractive, and that provide such a high quality of life to its residents.

As a small organization, TLC relies upon the work of volunteers, the financial support of members, as well as the decisions that private property owners make to preserve their land.
