Harvard Gateway Project
The Harvard Community has an opportunity to preserve an important visual gateway to the City at the intersection of Routes 14 and 23 - forever. The 15 acre property includes two oak groves as well as a valuable segment of Rush Creek. The City of Harvard, Harvard School District 50, and The Land Conservancy of McHenry County are working together to raise the funds to purchase this property with the goal of it becoming a nature park for City residents and an outdoor classroom for students at the nearby Crosby School.
