"Third Generation" Oak Fund
Ensuring that oak trees will be a part of the McHenry County landscape forever


The third generation is in our hands--It will take many, many years to restore the oak woods to its former stature. That is why we are starting the Third Generation Oak Fund. This endowment fund will generate income in perpetuity to support the work of the Oak Collaborative. All donations to the Third Genertion Oak fund are tax-deductible.

How your sponsorship could support the Third Generation of these amazing oak trees:

    $40 Planting and care of one oak tree
     
    $100 Planting and care of three oak trees
     
   
$ 250 Planting of ten oak trees - one each year for 10 years, plus the ongoing care of those trees in perpetuity.
     
   
$1,000 Planting of fifty oak trees - five each year for 10 years, plus the ongoing care of those trees in perpetuity.
     
   
$2,500 Reforestation of one acre of oak savanna, the establishment of a healthy understory of native plants, plus the ongoing care of the woods in perpetuity.
     
   
$5,000 Restoration of one acre of oak woods per year for 5 years, plus the ongoing maintenance of those areas in perpetuity.
