The mission of the Fox Valley Land Foundation is to protect, restore and preserve significant natural lands and open spaces through public and private partnerships.

Lake Forest Open Lands Association Lake Forest, Illinois
A private land trust in northeastern Illinois. We own and protect over 750 acres of prairie, savanna, wetland and woodland in Lake Forest. Our preserves are open to the public on a year-round basis, except when periodic maintenance is required.

The Liberty Prairie Conservancy Lake County, Illinois
A non-profit land conservation organization dedicated to protecting natural areas and working farmland throughout Lake County.

The McHenry County Defenders McHenry County, Illinois
A citizen organization advocating policies that protect drinking water supplies and conserve land for open space and agriculture, promote waste reduction through recycling drives and reuse centers. Encourages natural resource protection through native landscaping and stream protection programs.

The Natural Land Institute Rockford, Illinois
Since 1958, NLI has protected, managed, and restored thousands of acres throughout Illinois and southern Wisconsin. These include prairies, forests, wetlands, and river corridors.

Jo Daviess Conservation Foundation Jo Daviess County, Illinois
The Foundation seeks to maintain the essential character of Jo Daviess County and the surrounding area, which combines a diverse natural heritage, spectacular scenery, and a strong agricultural community.

The Conservation Foundation Naperville, Illinois
The Conservation Foundation preserves and enhances open and natural lands. Our primary activity is devoted to the facilitation and brokering of land transactions between property owners and public land preservation agencies. In addition, The Conservation Foundation purchases open space, and accepts donations of land and conservation easements.

Corlands Chicago, Illinois
Formed in 1977, CorLands is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help communities in northeastern Illinois increase the quantity and quality of open space for public enjoyment. Using a variety of conservation tools, it has helped local governments and private landowners save more than 10,000 acres of open space, valued at more than $400 million. CorLands is an affiliate of Openlands Project, a nonprofit conservation organization that is among the oldest in the nation.

The Land Trust Alliance promotes voluntary land conservation and strengthens the land trust movement by providing the leadership, information, skills and resources land trusts need to conserve land for the benefit of communities and natural systems.
