Paul Mercer Named to The Land Conservancy Board

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is happy to announce the addition of Paul Mercer of Huntley to the Board of Directors. Paul will bring his business experience, political knowledge, and an enduring interest in native plants to the Land Conservancy.

Paul is a sales manager for Segerdahl Corporation, a printing company in Wheeling. He has worked for Segerdahl since 1995, and has been in the printing industry since 1964.

In January, Paul was appointed to serve out a two year term on the Huntley Village Board following a council member's resignation. Previously, he served on both the Village Board and the planning commission for a total of 15 years.

He is a former volunteer for the McHenry County Conservation District's Alden Sedge Meadow property where he worked with Site Steward Dan Wilson for several years. It was during those days that he developed a deep appreciation for the many native plants that are found in this area.
