McHenry County Community Foundation Grant Awarded.

Woodstock, IL - In 2001, a local community organization was formed as a way to make more funding available to local charitable programs. On June 22, the McHenry County Community Foundation awarded 10 grants for a total of $30,000 to local agencies and organizations, to help fund projects from education for autistic children to bi-lingual education.

One of the grants awarded was for $3,500 to the Land Conservancy of McHenry County to support the Farmland Preservation Alliance's efforts to send a survey to all farm owners in the County, and to help the Alliance develop a strong case statement.
