Volunteers do so much for TLC: plant trees, organize files, cut buckthorn, greet visitors at events, secure silent auction donations and event sponsors. You name it - volunteers make it happen at TLC!

Volunteers work with TLC in a variety of ways:
On the Land, volunteers enjoy the comeraderie of working with others at properties TLC has preserved to restore those areas to a more healthy condition by removing invasive and non-native plants that are choking the native species.
At Special Events, volunteers assist with welcoming guests, serving food, setting up displays, hanging art and cleaning up afterwards. Event volunteers receive a complimentary ticket to the event, and are able to enjoy the program or activities while supporting a good cause!
In The Office, folks who would rather work indoors may help on special mailings and other office work.
At Oak Planting Events, volunteers perform a wide variety of tasks ranging from coordinating the delivery and set-up of trees and planting materials at sites to physically planting the trees!
There are many ways to help TLC, other than volunteering:
- Become a Member of The Land Conservancy
- Purchase a Rainbarrel or Tumbling Composter from TLC
- Plant Oaks on your property
- Protect Your Land
- Steward Your Land
- Become a Business Partner
- Attend a TLC Event
- Invite TLC to Speak at Your Group's Event.
However you choose to support TLC, you will know that your contribution is providing a healthier, more beautiful and economically stronger McHenry County for all residents - today and in the future.
