#Giving Tuesday-December 1st, Only a Week Away!
“I have the pleasure of watching our preserves grow and improve as Stewardship Chair for the TLC Board. A good example is the Crowley Sedge Meadow (CSM) near Alden. CSM is a remnant sedge meadow marsh with many high quality plants and animals. A notable species is the Baltimore Checkerspot butterfly that needs high quality fen areas. The brush was cleared, more oaks were planted, the site was burned and native seeds were planted during many volunteer workdays. I feel proud to have been part of their (Baltimore Checkerspot) resurgence. That is just one small example of the many species TLC is helping every day. I find it very gratifying to make a difference in the ecology of my home state." Randy Schietzelt, Board Member
